Sharifah Marsden
Sharifah Marsden is an Anishinaabe artist from the Mississaugas of Scugog Island First Nation. Guided toward a life of art and culture from an early age, her work is rooted in her Ojibway heritage and the traditions of Woodland art. Through her designs, Sharifah brings forward Indigenous teachings in a contemporary way, creating pieces that reflect healing, connection, and the strength of intergenerational knowledge. Her artwork carries both story and spirit, inviting reflection while honouring the continuity of culture.
"Painting has always been my healer. I create by following my own vision and allowing each piece to unfold naturally, with the hope that my artwork brings healing, hope, and connection to others."
— Sharifah Marsden
