Anjeanette Dawson (Spelexílh)
Anjeanette Dawson (Spelex̱ílh) is a member of the Sḵwx̱wú7mesh Úxwumixw (Squamish Nation), a traditional wool weaver, Knowledge Keeper, and Indigenous educator with more than 35 years of experience. Introduced to the ancient Coast Salish art of wool weaving in 2004, she shares this sacred tradition through workshops and educational experiences across Canada.
Holding a Master's Degree in Indigenous Education and Reconciliation, Anjeanette's work weaves together Indigenous history, cultural teachings, and the enduring strength of the Sḵwx̱wú7mesh people. Through both her artwork and education, she helps preserve and share Coast Salish traditions for future generations.
